The APA75 Headunit Antenna Adapter is required when upgrading the headunit in various Toyota, Subaru and Lexus vehicles. It converts the factory antenna plug to a standard din plug which are found in all aftermarket headunits. The adapter also has a blue wire that needs to be connected to the aftermarket headunits amp remote / antenna power cable in the wiring loom so the amplified or electronic aerial in the vehicle can be powered. If this cable is not connected then the radio reception will be very poor.
