Constructed with precision and durability in mind, the 5000 Series rotors combine high carbon cast iron rings with aerospace-grade aluminium hats (T6061-T6), secured with National Aerospace Standards (NAS) bolts and crimp nuts. The T3 variant sets a new standard in performance, featuring DBA's patented world-renowned T3 bi-directional slot design.
Inspired by the proven success of DBA's T2 slot, the T3 slot design introduces additional precise CNC machined tri-symmetrical slots, resulting in a smoother, more responsive braking experience. These innovative slots increase the number of exit points for brake pad friction dust and gases, enhancing the consistency and effectiveness of every brake stop.
DBA recommends the T3 slot for high-performance applications, where precision and reliability are paramount.
Sharing all the advanced performance technology of the 4000 Series, the 5000 Series offers further enhancements in weight reduction and heat management through the aerospace-grade aluminium hats. These hats reduce unsprung weight and facilitate uniform radial disc expansion, while minimising heat transfer from the disc to the hub.
DBA offers complete assemblies and replacement hats and flat disc rotors, providing drivers with flexibility and cost-effective replacement options. The two-piece design ensures easy installation and maintenance, with hat and rings available as complete assemblies or individual components.
Symmetrical slots facilitate efficient dispersion of friction dust and gases, resulting in a quieter and more responsive pedal feel.
